This journey may seem daunting, but we're here to support, educate and guide you.

Patient Centre

As a patient to my practice whether that be for a simple breast check and investigation or a complex breast malignancy you can be sure that appropriate time will be spent listening, explaining and educating you about your diagnosis. You can also be sure that the different members of our medical team, whether you come in contact with them within my consultation setting or in the hospital environment, will keep you well informed throughout about your journey ahead.

Surgical care, in particular malignant breast conditions, requires a multidisciplinary approach from a dedicated team of experienced professionals. I work closely with chemotherapy specialists, radiation oncologists, breast care nurses and allied health professionals to map out the best individual treatment plan for each of my patients. I keep in regular contact with my patients and their loved ones throughout their treatment.

Your First Consultation

During your first consultation I will review your referral letter, any imaging and/or tests that you have had completed prior to your appointment. I will personally go through everything with you including your symptoms, medical and family history as well as the results of any tests, imaging or biopsies which you have already undergone. I may request further tests to be completed if required and take you through the next steps of the journey.

I aim to leave no questions unturned so in preparation for your first consult you may wish to write some questions down if that makes the process easier, I will happily address these with you.

What to bring to your first consultation:

  • Your GP referral
  • Any X-Ray films or scans that your GP has already ordered
  • Any biopsy results
  • Medicare card, pensioners card or health care card
